July 10, 2019 – As part of CADSI’s ongoing efforts to promote Canada’s innovative cyber-defence sector, our association is pleased to announce the formation of a new Cyber Advisory Council.
The Council, made up of 10 industry cyber-defence practitioners, will provide ongoing feedback on CADSI’s activities and research efforts in the cyber domain, as well as offering input as the association works to form closer links between home-grown industry and government. The Council will function as an operating committee of CADSI.
“Better harnessing Canada’s world-class cyber industrial capabilities will help our Armed Forces and national security agencies operate decisively in the cyber domain. This advisory council was a next logical step for CADSI as we continue to better represent this emerging sector,” said CADSI president and CEO Christyn Cianfarani.
“The technologies required to protect our national security are increasingly created outside of the traditional defence industrial base. We need to build bridges to these companies, and the work done by this council will no doubt prove invaluable.”
