WIDS Offering Scholarships

The Annual WiDS Scholarship fund was established in 2006 with a mandate to encourage women to further their educational objectives and pursue careers and related to Canada’s defence and security. Since 2006, over $100,000 has been awarded in amounts ranging from $1,000-$10,000. This year, WiDS is pleased to announce that one scholarship, valued at $10,000 will be awarded. CSC Radar Designated AN/SPY-7(V)1

November 14, 2019 – The world’s latest generation solid-state radar technology, formerly known as Lockheed Martin’s (NYSE: LMT) Solid State Radar (LM SSR), has been designated as AN/SPY-7(V)1 by the United States government. The designation of AN/SPY-7(V)1 is a direct reflection of the maturity and capability of Lockheed Martin’s solid-state radar technology.
