Following the retirement of the Sea King helicopter last December 2018, the Department of National Defence and Public Services and Procurement Canada have been working on the divestment of the venerable aircraft. Canadian Armed Forces Honor Long-serving CH-124 Sea King

December 1, 2018 – The Canadian Armed Forces gave a final salute to the CH-124 Sea King maritime helicopter marking its more than five decades of service, in a parade held today at Victoria International Airport. The Sea King will officially retire from service by December 31, 2018 as the RCAF completes its transition to the new CH-148 Cyclone maritime helicopter.
