December 19, 2019 – Today, the Government of Canada announced Chantier Davie has prequalified to become the third strategic partner under the Strategy. The NSS’s third yard will build six program icebreakers for the Canadian Coast Guard. Chantier Davie is welcoming all provincial and federal political parties to visit Canada’s largest shipbuilder following the airing of the TV program Découverte on the transformation of the first Resolve-Class Naval Support Ship, the largest naval ship ever delivered by a Canadian shipyard.
