RCN Awards Contract to GeoSpectrum Technologies

August 7, 2018 – Dartmouth-Cove Harbour Darren Fisher MP announced that GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. of Dartmouth has been awarded a $3,435,625-contract to provide replacement parts for hydrophone sonars currently being used on Victoria-class submarines. The company was recently granted the rights by Lockheed Martin to produce parts for hydrophones, which are underwater microphones designed to detect subaquatic sounds. This contract will support Royal Canadian Navy (RCN)’s ability to effectively detect threats to Canada’s coastal regions, while enhancing regional economic growth in Nova Scotia.

Elbit Systems Subsidiary in Canada Awarded a Contract to Supply Underwater Sound System to South Korea

Elbit Systems Ltd. announced May 31st that its wholly-owned subsidiary in Canada, GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. (“GTI”), was awarded a contract from STX Engine Co., to deliver a full end-to-end Underwater Sound Source System (USSS) and software package to the Republic of Korea (“ROK”) Navy. The systems will be supplied by the end of 2018. The contract is in an amount that is not material to Elbit Systems.
