September 9, 2018 – Australian and Canadian military ties were further strengthened recently when a group of RAN sailors and officers cross-decked in Royal Canadian Navy Ship Calgary as part of Exercise Kakadu 2018 (KA18). Calgary Suffers Fuel Spill in Georgia Strait

In the morning of February 24, 2018, HMCS Calgary in the Straits of Georgia, reported a spill of approximately 30,000L of F76 fuel type to CFB Esquimalt and Environment Canada. Maritime Forces (Pacific) is co-ordinating with Environment Climate Change Canada, Canadian Coast Guard, Transport Canada, and BC Emergency Management.
