HMCS Moncton & Nanaimo Assist US Coast Guard in Drug Busts

On November 11, 2017, HMCS Moncton intercepted a suspect vessel and disembarked a USCG law enforcement detachment to seize 834 kgs of cocaine and apprehend three suspected smugglers. In the Eastern Pacific Ocean on October 31, 2017, HMCS Nanaimo conducted a similar intercept and seizure with an embarked USCG law enforcement detachment to seize 478 kgs of cocaine and apprehend three suspected smugglers.
