NATO Secretary General to visit Canada

NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg visited Canada on Tuesday, 3 April and Wednesday, 4 April 2018. On 4 April, he will participate in a Town Hall event at the University of Ottawa, delivering remarks and taking questions from students. He will also attend a reception hosted by the NATO Association of Canada and the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, marking the 69th anniversary of the Alliance. Mr. Stoltenberg met Governor General Julie Payette and Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Chief of the Defence Staff Jonathan Vance and other senior officials.

First Poppy presented to Canada’s Governor General

The Royal Canadian Legion’s president David Flannigan presented the symbolic First Poppy to Her Excellency the Right Honorable Julie Payette, Governor General and Commander-in-Chief of Canada, at Rideau Hall in Ottawa today.
