Seaspan Awards Protecteur-Class Subcontract

January 17, 2019 – Seaspan Shipyards has awarded L3 MAPPS a contract for work on Canada’s new Joint Support Ships (JSS). The award is one of several to be announced for Canadian suppliers supporting Seaspan’s work on naval supply ships under the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS). Irving Shipbuilding and L3 MAPPS celebrate Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship milestone

At an event in Montreal PQ on May 18th, Irving Shipbuilding announced that L3 MAPPS has successfully completed the First Article Acceptance Testing of the Integrated Platform Management System (IPMS) for the Royal Canadian Navy’s (RCN) new class of Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ships (AOPS) under construction at Halifax Shipyard. Irving Shipbuilding contracted L3 MAPPS to provide the IPMS for each AOPS it is constructing as part of the National Shipbuilding Strategy (NSS).
