USS Halsey, HMCS Ottawa kick off RIMPAC 2018 Soccer tournament

By Petty Officer 1st Class Corwin Colbert Sailors from the guided-missile destroyer USS Halsey (DDG 97) and the Royal Canadian Navy Halifax-class frigate HMCS Ottawa (FFH 341) kicked off the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise 2018 soccer tournament June 27 at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam. Over 1,000 Canadian sailors, soldiers, and aviators are set to participate in Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC). The world’s largest international maritime exercise takes place June 27 to Aug. 2 in and around the Hawaiian Islands and Southern California. HMCS Chicoutimi Returns to Esquimalt

HMCS Chicoutimi has returned to HMC Dockyard in Esquimalt March 21st after a 197-day deployment (down from originally announced 10 months) in the Asia-Pacific region, marking an historic milestone for the Royal Canadian Navy submarine fleet after a nearly 50-year absence from the region.
