Over 40 ships begin exercise Northern Coasts in the Baltic Sea

September 3, 2019 – Around 3,000 troops and more than 40 vessels from 18 nations are taking part in the annual Northern Coasts naval exercise that starts on 3 September in Copenhagen. Northern Coasts will take place near the Danish straits connecting the Baltic Sea to the North Sea, as well as between Kiel and Bornholm. Saab to Deliver Radars for Protecteur Class

April 5, 2019 – Saab has received an order for delivery of Sea Giraffe AMB naval radars supporting the Royal Canadian Navy’s new Protecteur Class AORs. Lockheed Martin Canada has placed the order. Lockheed Martin Canada, selected by prime contractor Seaspan’s Vancouver Shipyards Co. Ltd. is providing the command management system and integration for the Protecteur Class. NATO ships Visit Sweden

November 27, 2018 – The ships of Standing NATO Maritime Group One (SNMG1) and Standing NATO Mine Countermeasures Group One (SNMCMG1) conducted a port visit in Karlskrona, Sweden 23 to 25 November. The port visit included visits to local military and civilian officials as well as tours of the ships for both local residents and Swedish military personnel.
