Canadian UAVs to Receive PicoSAR Active Electronically Scanned Array

March 29, 2019 – At the CanSec exhibition (Ottawa, 29-30 May) Leonardo has announced that it has signed a multi-million Euro contract with prime contractor QinetiQ to provide a number of PicoSAR Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA, also known as ‘E-Scan’) radars. The radars will equip the new unmanned Intelligence, Surveillance, Target Acquisition and Reconnaissance (ISTAR) aircraft that have been ordered by the Canadian Armed Forces. Ballard Launches Next Generation Fuel Cell System for Drones, Expands Insitu Flight Testing

Ballard Power Systems announced December 22nd that the company has developed a next generation high performance fuel cell propulsion system to power unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones.
