PCU Harry DeWolf Delivered for 2021 Commissioning

July 31, 2020 – Precommissioning Unit (PCU) Harry DeWolf was delivered today in Halifax. This ships is the first of six Arctic and Ocean Patrol Ships (AOPS) for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) and two for the Canadian Coast Guard. The six ships of this class will be the first ships capable of Arctic operations since 1957. PMO Announces Chief of the Defense Staff Retiring

July 23, 2020 – The Prime Minister today announced that General Jonathan Vance will retire in the coming months as Chief of the Defense Staff, a position he has held since July 2015. He also thanked him for his many years of service to Canadians and congratulated him on his upcoming retirement from the Canadian Armed Forces. July 13, 2020 – NATO maritime exercise Dynamic Mongoose concluded on Friday (10 July 2020) off the coast of Iceland.
