MARLANT Clone JTFA Travels to Virginia

September 24, 2020 – U.S. Second Fleet (C2F) hosted the U.S. Coast Guard Atlantic Area and the Canadian Armed Forces’ Joint Task Force Atlantic for the 2020 Frontier Sentinel tabletop exercise (TTX) and Tri-Party Staff Talks C2F’s headquarters aboard Naval Support Activity (NSA) Hampton Roads and virtually, Sept. 22-24. Exercise Joint Warrior Begins Next Week

September 28, 2020 – Thousands of sailors, soldiers and airmen and airwomen will next week take part in Exercise Joint Warrior, a major show of NATO’s collective force and capability. NATO’s new Atlantic command declared operational

September 17, 2020 – NATO’s new Atlantic Command was declared operational in a ceremony in Norfolk, Virginia on Thursday (17 September 2020). Joint Force Command Norfolk, established to protect sea lanes between Europe and North America, is the first NATO headquarters dedicated to the Atlantic since 2003. Major milestones for future HMCS Margaret Brooke with first fuel and radar installation

September 15, 2020 – Two major construction milestones for the future HMCS Margaret Brooke at Halifax Shipyard, as the vessel took on first fuel and also completed installation of the Surveillance and IFF Radar Antenna. Kraken to Supply Minehunting Systems to Polish Navy

September 8, 2020 – Kraken Robotics Inc., Canada’s Ocean Company, is pleased to announce that on September 1st, it signed a contract to supply minehunting systems to the Polish Navy.
