The Indo-Pacific Deployment 2023 (IPD23) units conducted a multilateral exercise with the United States Navy (USN), the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) in order to strengthen cooperation to realize a “Free and Open Indo-Pacific” as described below.

(2) To strengthen cooperation with participating navies

(1) This exercise is a part of the Large Scale Global Exercise (LSGE23).
(2) JS IZUMO and JS SAMIDARE (IPD23 First Surface Unit) will make a port visit to Cam Ranh, Socialist Republic of Viet Nam from 20th to 23th June.
