Royal Canadian Navy Patrol Vessel ‘HMCS Margaret Brooke’ to arrive in our country
The patrol vessel ‘HMCS Margaret Brooke’ of the Royal Canadian Navy will call on Havana´s port this June 14. The visit, which will extend until June 17, will be taking place on the occasion of the eightieth anniversary of our uninterrupted diplomatic relations with that country and the fiftieth anniversary of our bilateral cooperation.
This vessel belongs to a new series of ships that was recently introduced in the Royal Canadian Navy. Its visit to our country highlights bilateral cooperation as a contribution to peace in our region.
The vessel will call on the port of Havana before returning to its home port in Halifax. Its visit will be an opportunity to celebrate and strengthen the historical bilateral relations that exist between Cuba and Canada. It is also a follow up on the visits paid in 2016 and 2018 by frigates ‘HMCS Fredericton’ and ‘HMCS Charlottetown’ respectively.
