Official announcement
On the morning of Monday, March 31, the Royal Canadian Navy patrol vessel HMCS “Margaret Brooke” docked for the first time at the Molo de Abrigo in Valparaíso, following its first operation in Antarctica.
Upon arrival, the ship’s Commander, along with the Canadian Ambassador to Chile, Karolina Guay, and the Defense Attaché, Chantal Desormeaux, presented their formal greetings to the Commander-in-Chief of the First Naval Zone, Rear Admiral César Delgado Boffil.
The authorities then proceeded to the National Navy Monument, where Commander Share, along with Ambassador Guay, laid a wreath to pay tribute to our naval heroes. Rear Admiral Delgado, along with Chief Warrant Officer Sergio Palma, the Constable of the First Naval Zone, then laid a wreath on behalf of the Chilean Navy.
During its stay, the patrol boat will be resupplied and on operational rest, so its crew will not be on official duties.
