HMCS Regina returned to Esquimalt July 25, 2024, after “the successful completion of its Arctic awareness and sovereignty mission.”

During the deployment, HMCS Regina and her embarked CH-148 Cyclone Air Detachment monitored Arctic approaches to North America, supporting the Canadian Armed Forces continental defense mandate and contributing to the upholding of international maritime law.

HMCS Regina also reached 69 North (Bering Strait) and became the first West Coast frigate to cross the Arctic Circle.
