SCHOTTEL Inc. (USA) and SCHOTTEL Canada Inc. have signed a cooperation agreement with two leading companies on the Canadian west coast to support the growing local fleet of ships with SCHOTTEL propulsion systems. Under the agreement, Seaspan Vancouver Drydock, based in North Vancouver, will act as the service and support center, while McRae Electric, based in Burnaby, will be responsible for the electrical and control systems.
Since SCHOTTEL Canada was founded in 2016, the number of ships equipped with SCHOTTEL propulsion systems in the Pacific Northwest has increased enormously. Ship types include ferries, tugs, fishing vessels, and coastguard and navy vessels. In order to be able to support customers on site even faster and more professionally, SCHOTTEL will in future be working with these two established companies. Via the SCHOTTEL Service Center, customers receive the desired services from one or, if applicable, both companies. The customers benefit from their extensive know-how and short response times.
